Pokémon Go has just crossed the billion downloads

The game developed by Niantic has reached the historic and abyssal bar of a billion downloads. In just three years.

Released on July 2016, Pokémon Go has only taken three years to reach the milestone of one billion downloads. By September 2016, two short months after its release, the game developed by Niantic and published by The Pokémon Company already crossed the 500 million downloads. In February 2017, the game counted 650 million, then 800 million in May 2018.

Downloads galore and income XXL

If the growth of downloads slows logically over time, it would have been interesting to know the number of players still active, the interest of the latter has also decreased over the months. This does not prevent the app from generating huge revenue.

According to Sensor Tower, Pokémon Go generated $ 2.65 billion in revenue over these three years of operation. In equivalence, it's more than Clash Royale (2.3 billion) and Candy Crush Saga (1.86 billion). Clash of Clans remains the master of the game with a turnover of $ 3.15 billion during its first three years.
