Last September, the Chinese manufacturer NIU announced the preparation of its range of low-cost electric scooters, called Gova.

On the occasion of the EICMA 2019 which is currently held in Milan, the company returns to unveil four new electric two-wheelers.

Three scooters for a bike

At EICMA, NIU announced a name change for its entire range. From now on, all his two-wheelers will carry the " Qi  " label. For example, the M + is now called the MQi +.

The first of three scooters presented by NIU is precisely the successor of the MQi +: the MQiGT is a two-seater more powerful than its predecessor. It will be part of the category of 125 cm 3, posting a top speed of 70 km / h and powered by a Bosch engine 3000 W. It will accommodate one or two battery packs 2 kWh. The range of the vehicle will be between 55 km (at 70 km / h) and 135 km (at 25 km / h).

Such as M-Series, N-Series now have an equivalent in the class of 125 cm 3The NQiGTs Pro receives the same engine as the MQiGT, offering the same top speed of 70 km / h. Except for the design (the NQiGTs Pro gets new 14-inch wheels), the difference between the two models lies more in the configuration of the two batteries. While those of the MQiGT are configured in 48V - 42 Ah, the 4.2 kWh of the NQiGTs Pro is configured in 60V - 35 Ah. This should lead to autonomy between 85 and 108 kilometers.

The UQiGT Pro is, for its part, a single-seat model whose 2 kWh are configured in 48V - 42 Ah. With a top speed of 45 km / h and a Bosch electric motor of 1,200 W, it offers between 45 and 80 kilometers of autonomy, twice more than the previous version of the UQiPro.

The first electric bike of the brand
In addition to its three new scooters, NIU unveils the Aero EB-01, it is a very first electric bike. It is also the only one of the four models presented whose price is known: according to the specialized website Le Repaire des Motards, it will be available at a price of 1 899 euros.

According to its designer, this electric-assisted bicycle (EVA) would be the most energy-efficient vehicle it has designed so far. A 1-kWh 48V-21Ah li-ion battery powers a 250W Bafang motor. Between four and five hours will be needed for a full charge. The bike will provide assistance up to 45 km / h in the United States, and up to 25 km / h in Europe with a range of 60 to 150 km depending on usage.
