Tesla: Vehicles will soon offer Netflix and YouTube streaming services
Elon Musk

Tesla boss himself, Elon Musk, says the streaming giants will soon be available on his vehicles.

With Elon Musk, we are no longer at an announcement. But some obviously hold more attention than others. This is the case of the one launched this weekend on Twitter. The founder of Tesla explained on the social network that the vehicle screens of the electric car manufacturer will soon be able to broadcast Netflix and YouTube.

An incredibly immersive cinematic sensation "

The whimsical Elon Musk wants to take his cars one step further in terms of entertainment. The contractor first indicated that at first, video streaming would only work at a standstill, as for some games already on board. Musk even evokes "  an incredibly immersive cinematographic sensation, thanks to the comfortable seats and sound  " of the vehicle.
If for the moment, the founder of the brand does not provide more details on the arrival of these two services requested by users, it could intervene in the coming months. The integration could be done via the Tesla Software V10 Update, which should include various game features, but also an improved autopilot and even more effective signaling and stop sign recognition.

Watch Netflix and YouTube while driving? It will depend on the different regulations

Elon Musk is also projecting on use not stopped but rolling. But concerning this last possibility, Tesla does not hold his fate in his hands. This depends on the regulations in force regarding autonomous driving. "  Once the regulators have approved full auto driving, we'll activate the video during the trip,  " he warned in another tweet.

Elon Musk remains convinced that Tesla vehicles will be able to operate without a driver by the end of 2019. Currently, only some states allow autonomous driving on limited portions of roads.
