"Road" electric scooters from Blitz Motors to land in Europe

Blitz Motors is an Israeli company founded by Raphael Moszynski and specializing in electric scooters.

Originally created to simply allow people to move around the city, then between Israeli cities, Blitz Motors has achieved its goal and now decides to open up to Europe and India.

Scooters with high autonomy

Blitz Motors offers two models. The first is the Blitz 6000, equipped with a 6000 W engine and can go up to 120 km / h with a range of 100 km, thus falling into the category of 250 cc. Their second most popular model is the 125 cc Blitz 3000X. Equipped with a battery of 3000 W, it is able to roll at 90 km / h for about 120 km.

These speeds are however not extraordinary since the speeds of the highway have already been matched by the companies Gogoro, Silence and BMW with the C Evolution.

However, what happens if you choose to drive at 45 km / h? The second choice of battery is offered to companies, and in this case, the autonomy doubles to reach 200 km. And it is at this point that the company decided to play. Indeed, by selling its scooters to the public, but also to businesses, she decided to multiply the autonomy.

How? Simply by providing the deliverymen who will be driving their scooter the possibility of having replacement batteries. Three batteries of 1.5 kWh, or 4.5 kWh, stored in the scooter. The 7 kg battery can be removed to be replaced by a new one in less than 30 seconds, offering a range ten times greater than a normal scooter can travel.

The company also provides an external charging unit that can charge two batteries in two hours. Blitz Motors has been able to test its models, so far traveling 20 million kilometers with 1,600 scooters.

International expansion expected by September

Now that the main goal of the company is achieved, namely to move easily by electric scooters through different Israeli cities, Blitz Motors has decided to open up to the international. With two prime targets, Europe and India, Blitz hopes to reverse the market held by Etergo and UJET in Europe, particularly in the Benelux, and by Ather Energy in India.

Although developed in the Hebrew state, the two-wheelers sent to Europe will be built in their already existing factory in China, when those sold in India will be manufactured in the future factory being built in the country. Sales in Europe will begin in September this year, just after the opening of the European headquarters.

The Israeli firm is aimed at both the public and businesses. It already supplies multinationals like McDonald's, Pizza Hut or Domino for their home delivery service. The first aircraft that will reach the Old Continent will arrive in September in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
