Microsoft would always consider releasing a console for its xCloud service

Microsoft would always think of bringing out a box to access its xCloud streaming games platform. The device would be offered at a very low price and would aim to reassure players still not very confident vis-à-vis the dematerialized game. 
Project Scarlett might not be the only upcoming Xbox console to come out in the next few months. According to TechRadar information, Microsoft is thinking of releasing a device to access xCloud, its next streaming game service.

A limp to reassure players wishing to access xCloud

The product would not be a console itself but rather a connected box, connected to the TV through an HDMI port. It would have very limited computing power, the latter being deported to Microsoft's servers, to display the video and to link the player's joystick to the game. 

This machine would be in addition to Project Scarlett, the name code of the future Xbox announced as 4 times more powerful than the current Xbox One X. 

With this box, Microsoft also hopes to reassure more casual players, who are still afraid to play the game streaming and not knowing how to access the catalog of games proposed. To convince them, the price of the device would be of the order of $ 60 only, the publisher hoping to catch up on the price of the subscription to its service over time.

Microsoft wants to multiply gaming experiences

Microsoft has been ready for several months to diversify its gaming offerings, through more affordable machines. Last year, the publisher released a version of its Xbox One S without optical disc drive intended for a public swearing only by buying titles on its online store. 

Some rumors also mentioned the existence of a Lockhart Project, which could have been the less powerful and less expensive version of the future Xbox, but Microsoft would have abandoned this project to focus on the release of Scarlett at the end of the year 2020.

Microsoft has not yet made its decision on its xCloud case and could take the time to think before launching its product in stores.
