Multiplayer, controllers, editors: we know more about Google Stadia

On the occasion of a complete update of the Stadia FAQ, Google answered the questions of many gamers.

Google has reassured the players by saying that access to the games will not be lost if the publisher decides to leave the platform Stadia.

Revelatory revelations about accounts and access to games

You will not lose access to your games on Google Stadia. This is one of the first things that the tech giant has assured in the general update of the Frequently Asked Question Service, in which Google promises that once a game is purchased on its platform, you can play there whatever happens on the side of the publisher. It also means that you will still be able to access it even if it is no longer available for purchase for other players. At least, "  outside unforeseen circumstances," says the FAQ,

Google has also made it clear that the account you create for Stadia does not have to match your Gmail address: the Stadia service will simply send a code to the Google account used for registration, but this code may be used with an address different email. This would facilitate the purchase of codes, in the form of gifts to send to family and friends, among others.

Multiplayer on Stadia: the confirmation

In addition, Google has also confirmed that Stadia will support multiplayer titles, including in cooperation, since it will be possible to use up to four controllers to play locally. And since we talk about it, the Stadia controllers are also unveiled a little more, since we learn that they will use a Bluetooth connection for the installation, but that they will connect in WiFi to play. You can also connect them to a smartphone, tablet or PC via a USB cable plugged into their USB-C port.

Note also that Stadia will only support mobile gameplay on a limited number of devices at its launch, namely Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a (3a, 3a XL, 3 and 3XL) smartphones, as well as tablets running Chrome. Fortunately, Google claims to work on compatibility to reach more devices. As for the virtual reality, the FAQ indicates that Google does not yet have information to communicate to us.
