Over the months, Epic Games has drastically improved its online store by winning prestigious exclusives and providing free games. This dynamic will continue in the coming weeks as a much-anticipated feature will arrive soon.
If the Epic Game Store has massively messed up the community of PC players accustomed to Steam, the store has also quickly established itself as a reference. The developers are thrilled because they are getting more revenue for the sale of their games than on the Valve platform and players are enjoying free titles like This War of Mine and Moonlighter.
Progressive provision
The Epic Game Store still offers a less rich service than those of the competition. Features are sorely lacking in the call, such as being able to send our backups in the cloud to resume a game on any device. The good news in this area as Epic CEO Tim Sweeney confirmed on Twitter that cloud backup has been added to some games.
This feature will be rolled out gradually so that the brand can make sure the service hits the road. Since it's Epic who will activate the ability to save on the cloud, developers will have nothing more to do. The game Moonlighter, available free until August 2, is part of this first wave of compatible titles.
