Launched in 2015, Google's Pixel C tablet may no longer be updated

Google Pixel C

While Google has just announced that it is putting an end to its tablet-related activities, we are learning that the Pixel C, launched in 2015, may no longer receive security updates in the future.

This is the latest Android tablet launched by Google, and it may well be abandoned by its creator. The Pixel C, launched in 2015, is not on the list of eligible devices in the latest security update of the operating system.

Still nothing official

As reported by Android Police, no official announcement has been made by Google, and it is not uncommon that the arrival of an update is expected on some devices.

Nevertheless, the page dedicated to the support of Pixel devices tells us that the devices in the range "  receive security updates for a period of at least 18 months after the sale of the last copy by the Google Store  ". The Pixel C who left the stalls of the Google Store in December 2017, it gives us 19 months to counter.

What worries the owners of this model, especially as Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones had not received only one and last update after the famous deadline of 18 months.
