While its marketing was initially set to last April, Samsung has confirmed that it has solved all the problems of its Galaxy Fold, which will be relaunched in limited quantities in September.
The South Korean manufacturer officially leaves the silence on his blog and confirms the latest rumors, which predicted marketing very soon.
Samsung details the patches applied to the Galaxy Fold
Transparent, Samsung explains on his post blog have made various adjustments on his collapsible smartphone. The "protective film" of the screen, which had caused many problems to the testers from the first hour, is now applied to the entire surface of the screen. In other words: no chance to take it again for a banal protective film that the user can remove at will.
Samsung also said to have strengthened the overall waterproofness of its Galaxy Fold against external particles that, obviously, could be embedded a little too easily in the bowels of the device.
The hinge of the Fold, finally, has been reinforced in two points, and the space between the hinge and the body of the smartphone has been reduced. Never too cautious, Samsung also announces that " layers of metal have been placed under the Infinity Flex screen to strengthen the protection of it ."
Limited marketing in September
In its statement, Samsung also announced that the Galaxy Fold is now ready to be marketed. The manufacturer specifies however that it will be in small quantities, and in some markets only.
Additional preventive measures, waiting to receive the valuable feedback from the first testers who, last April, had allowed the company to take the measure of improvements to bring to its foldable smartphone.
Samsung promises more details on the launch of the Fold will be released as of September approaches. A comeback that looks decidedly muscular in terms of innovation; Huawei providing he too commercialize its own flexible smartphone, the X-Mate.
