Edward Snowden has made himself known as a whistleblower. The man, of American origin and former CIA and NSA computer scientist, had lifted the veil on massive surveillance of the US.
While two films focused on the whistleblower have already been released, the documentary Citizenfour and fiction Snowden with Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a new biographical novel that is about to see the light of day. A book written by Edward Snowden himself.
As a reminder, it was in 2013, at just 29 years old, that Edward Snowden became a whistleblower by revealing a case of global espionage fomented by the United States. It is in this same country that even today, the man is indicted for " espionage and theft of state secrets ".
The novel will be an opportunity for Edward Snowden to return to his close ties with this mass surveillance that was a scandal at the time, and whose repercussions are still felt today.
So I just completed an international conspiracy across twenty countries, and somehow the secret never leaked. On Constitution Day, the result will be on shelves worldwide. https://t.co/qH7W1V89px— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) August 1, 2019
