Toshiba's memory division will change its name to Kioxia

The memory branch of Toshiba changes its name for Kioxia. A sobriquet resulting from an improbable mix between the Japanese word "  kioku  " (memory) and the Greek expression "  Axia  ", referring to the idea of value or merit.

In a statement relayed by TechPowerUp, Toshiba said that this change will take effect from October 1 ... Pile time to get used to pronouncing Kioxia as it should. That is, "  kee-ox-ee-uh  ", says the constructor.

Toshiba wants to stay at the forefront of the memory market

Crucial for many brands, the memory market is witnessing constant technological improvements. Toshiba, the inventor of NAND memory, is investing heavily in its 3D flash memory devices, such as the recent BiCS FLASH ... And of course, plans to continue doing so under this new surname.

"  I am excited to take a new step in the evolution of our society while continuing to strengthen our position at the forefront of the memory industry,  " said Stacy J. Smith (Executive Chairman of the Toshiba Memory Holdings Corporation ). "  By using" memory "as a starting point, Kioxia will work with consumers to meet the different needs of everyday life, making the world more interesting and bringing lasting value to society,  " he added.

A whole program, and some diction exercises in perspective!
