SpaceX: the Starhopper prototype has made its very first launch

Starhopper, Starship's prototype, successfully launched for the first time in Boca Chica, Texas.

A previous test was stopped Wednesday night by an unexplained problem. Thursday, shortly before midnight, a new test took place and was conclusive, this time.

Musk confirms the success of the last test without theft

After a failed attempt on Wednesday night, Thursday, the rocket successfully completed its last static test in Texas.

The Starhopper, prototype spaceship Starship company SpaceX, took off from twenty meters and is now ready to start flight testing.
This success nevertheless comes after a series of complicated tests. Indeed, on July 17, a fire departure was observed during an engine test.

The next step? Rise 200 meters

Again, it is by answering a twitter that Musk announced the next stage of the flight test phase of the Starhopper prototype. Thus, it aims to " take off the rocket 200 meters in a week or two ", and probably when the Sun will be raised again to gain visibility.

The Starhopper which was planned for the end of the year was unveiled several months ago. The prototype, which is used only for testing, is designed in the same materials as Starship. On the design side, the prototype looks like the final rocket, but without the windows that will equip Starship.

Regarding the Starship rocket tests, they will come after those of the prototype. Be aware, however, that they are still planned for this year.

After that, it will take a year for trade missions to begin. The objective of SpaceX will be the Moon, then Mars.
