LG will activate HomeKit and AirPlay 2 support on its TVs from next week

Promised by LG at the release of its latest generation TVs, the support of Apple's HomeKit and AirPlay 2 protocols will arrive next week. 

A discreet announcement from the Twitter account of the Australian division of LG, which dates back the support of HomeKit and AirPlay 2next Monday.

Homekit is releasing in 1 week. Users require iOS 12.4 update to do Airplay2.

Only LG TVs from 2019 will be able to enjoy

It was known since the release of these TVs, but remember that only models dated 2019 will be compatible with HomeKit and AirPlay 2. In other words, you can enjoy these new services on your TV if you have at least an LG C9 (€ 2,499). 

If you are one of the elected, know that you will need to bring you a device running at least iOS 12.4 to take advantage of the support of the aforementioned protocols. 

The activation of HomeKit and AirPlay 2 will allow users to integrate their TV to their home automation device, and to enjoy a multi-room experience with the Apple HomePod, for example.
