Despite a record year for Tesla, employees are missing their premium at 200 vehicles near

Tesla announced last week, the company reached a record number of sales with no less than 95,200 vehicles sold during the second quarter.

However, during the month of June, Elon Musk's company wanted to sell 33,000, a number that would have been missed by 200 vehicles, calling into question the bonus of its employees.

Two hundred sales missed by little

At present, little is known about the award of the bonus because nothing is done yet. To achieve its goals, Tesla relied on two things: sales in North America, since its main Gigafactory is in California, but also on the reduction of the tax credit in the US that arrives in July and could have made anticipate some sales. Despite this, the US firm seems to have missed these sales to 200 pieces, thus preventing it from achieving this goal and depriving employees of their bonus.

A premium still uncertain

This bonus, however, Tesla employees may have not yet done across. If they had met the target of 33,000 cars sold, employees would have received $ 1,200 for each seller and $ 550 for factory employees. Despite this, Tesla is missing 200 cars and the premium is no longer in question. It should be remembered that the Palo Alto company already offers its employees stock options and that bonuses have been changed at the beginning of the year since Tesla has eliminated commissions for a fairer and more important bonus for all employees.

Nothing is yet sure about the distribution of this premium, Tesla has not yet pronounced. But according to Electrek, the discussions still seem to be going on.
