Jarvis, a Fortnite Tusker specialist with more than 2 million subscribers, has been heavily sanctioned by Epic Games. The publisher has effectively banned the game, because of the use of software conferring an unfair advantage.
The least we can say is that the investigation was not very complicated. On its secondary channel, YouTuber Jarvis released Fortnite videos in which he used an "aimbot", a software that automatically targets enemies.
Unfair battle
Obviously, the use of such a tool is prohibited and considered a means of cheating. And Epic Games, the publisher of Fortnite, does not joke at all with this type of behavior. The company has taken a radical decision, banishing the player permanently. This sanction has aroused the indignation of some members of the community, astonished by its severity, especially since Jarvis did not use his advantage in competition. They also recalled that some players had been banished only temporarily, after having cheated during a professional tournament.
But neither these comments, nor the hashtag #FreeJarvis, nor the video of the excuse of YouTuber did not inflect the position of Epic Games. The publisher explained that the two cases were different and reaffirmed its " zero tolerance " towards cheat software. And this, to avoid losing players who feel helpless face fighters doped with the aimbots.
