Marvel's Avengers: Square Enix Unveils a Trailer and Promising Details

Expected mid-May 2020, the game will feature a new playable super-heroine with a vital mission.

The Crystal Dynamics development studio unveiled Wednesday, October 30, a new video dedicated to Marvel's Avengers, the third-person action-adventure game published by Square Enix scheduled to be released May 15, 2020, on PS4 but also on PC, on Xbox One and Google's cloud gaming platform, Stadia. This new trailer tells us a little more about the gameplay and the story of the game, with the arrival of a central character.

For the little story...

The story of Marvel's Avengers begins at Avengers Day, synonymous with the inauguration of their headquarters on the West Coast. But accused of being the cause of the destruction of San Francisco, the heroes are pushed to the separation and are replaced by Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM), a criminal organization that pretends to want to protect the population.

Five years later, the heroes have disappeared and robotic AIs abound. This is where the young Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, decides to prove the innocence of her heroes and ... to accept her own powers, which are extraordinary. The heroine gradually manages to gather the Avengers.

In the game, what are we announcing?

The superheroes (all playable) will be installed in a disused heliport, which you can gradually restore as you advance in the game. And this is where the most interesting part comes in since it will be possible to customize them. You will be able to adapt the powers of the characters according to the needs and your style of play, thanks to numerous equipment and skills.

Each hero will have his own outfits (with a nod to all those who made the story of Marvel for 80 years), dynamic combo systems, heroic attacks, but also abilities and attacks unpublished to unlock during the progression.

Missions will be playable solo or online in a world of up to four players. The story of Marvel's Avengers will run for several years.

To those who are worried about having to pay a certain amount to acquire some additional skills and skins, Square Enix announces already that "  every new superhero or new region will be available at no additional cost for players with the original game  ". See what that will give to use.
