Ford unveils 900 hp electric Mustang at SEMA Show 2019

The American manufacturer Ford made a sensation at the SEMA Show 2019 by revealing a new electric concept named Mustang Lithium. Powerful, the latter accumulates 900 horses and has a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 2019 edition of the SEMA Show, held from November 5th to 8th in Las Vegas, already brings us some nice surprises. Just like the concept recently unveiled by the Ford manufacturer: the Mustang Lithium, which the brand presents in an official press release. This muscle-car sports look is not specifically intended to take the path of marketing. But it is clear that his power is dreaming.

Manual gearbox

With its 900 horsepower, this racing car promises performance worthy of the best zero-emission vehicles on the market. Unfortunately, no precise data is published by the brand: neither top speed nor acceleration. Side specifications, the general public must be satisfied with a battery of 800 volts developed by the German Webasto, a torque of 1,350 Nm and 20-inch wheels.

Rarely enough to report, this Mustang has a six-speed gearbox, despite its electric motor. A system specially set up for purists in search of a driving sensation. The prototype is also equipped with a 10.4-inch screen, on which several driving modes can be selected: Valet, Sport, Track and Beast.

11.5 billion investment

The press release also focuses on the specifications of the firm of the United States in terms of electric mobility: no less than 11.5 billion dollars will be invested in this area by 2022.

A jackpot that should benefit the future electric SUV inspired by the Mustang, presented on November 18, and the F-150 pick-up, also electric, expected in the coming months.
