XDA Developers has unearthed a line of code in the Chinese version of the future version of MIUI - the Android overlay of Xiaomi smartphones. This leaves little room for doubt about the arrival of a smartphone with a reversible charging feature.
Inaugurated by Huawei on the Mate 20 Pro, and followed by Samsung on its recent Galaxy S10, the reversible charge allows, thanks to induction, to charge a third device with his smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 could be equipped with reversible charging
According to XDA, the best candidate for this new feature is the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, considered the next flagship of the brand. Indeed, we already know that this smartphone can be recharged wirelessly, and at a higher voltage than the already impressive Xiaomi Mi 9.
According to the line of code from MIUI's Chinese beta, a compatible smartphone will be able to " charge other wireless devices ". A feature that will "turn off automatically if the charge does not begin within 90 seconds after activation " to avoid unwanted range drain.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 arrived last year in November. If the builder were to keep his agenda for 2019, we should hear about his successor shortly after the start of the school year.
