Withings announces BPM Core and BPM Connect, two new connected health devices

The connected health leader unveils this July 17, 2019, Withings BPM Connect, a blood pressure monitor connected to measure blood pressure. But also it's Withings BPM Core which, in addition to detecting hypertension, allows you to record an electrocardiogram and listen to your heart. 

After its Withings Sleep device to detect sleep apnea, the company is focusing on measuring and monitoring heart problems.

Follow your heart, with the Withings BPM Core

The Withings BPM Core is a consumer- connected blood pressure monitor that incorporates an electrocardiogram (ECG) and an electronic stethoscope. This 3-in-1 device is used to measure blood pressure, record an electrocardiogram and listen to the sound of the heart. Its goal is to detect early signs of hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and valvulopathies. 

Awarded with a CES 2019 "Innovation Award", the Withings BPM Core is easy to use. It allows the user to record all three traces at one time, or to program only one of the desired measurements. After charging by micro-USB, its battery can last up to six months, one per day. 

Finally, the Withings BPM Core can work in WiFi and Bluetooth with the Health Mate app, available on iOS and Android. The Withings BPM Core also has CE medical certification; it is available from July 17, 2019, at a price of 249.95 euros.

Withings BPM Connect to detect hypertension

The Haute Autorité de Santé recommends self-measurement at home, to detect early signs of hypertension. But also to avoid the effect "white coat", which tends to distort the results of a patient in a stressful medical environment. The Withings BPM Connect is a blood pressure monitor connected to the general public, technophile or not, for a simplified blood pressure measurement at home. 

Very easy to use, it has a built-in LED screen to instantly read the result of the measurement. It is also sent via WiFi or Bluetooth to the Health Mate app. The application then draws up a history of measurements, without limit, to ensure better monitoring of the user's voltage. The Withings BPM Connect rechargeable battery also guarantees six months of battery life before the next charge. 

The connected blood pressure monitor has CE and FDA medical certifications. It is available at a price of 99.95 euros.
