Since its release in November 2013, the Xbox One has changed its interface very regularly and there will be more change at this level very soon.
Indeed, the menu of the console has undergone yet another overhaul to make the content more easily readable and accessible.
An interface under test
It was through the Xbox Wire blog that the manufacturer shared the first screenshot of its new home menu. For the moment, the deployment of this update is only planned for participants in the Xbox Insiders program. These first users will have the heavy task of testing the interface and Microsoft will then make changes based on feedback. Thus, the visual proposed today by the brand is not necessarily definitive.
More fluid, clearer
In its statement, Microsoft has expressed its desire to make the menu easier to access while offering more transparency. Thus, most tabs have disappeared to make room for buttons that will allow faster access to the contents of the flagship services of the manufacturer, such as Xbox Game Pass, Mixer, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Community. Admittedly, this streamlined interface seems much clearer and more intuitive.
The changes are not just about the home menu since Cortana has also been removed from the Xbox One. Thus, it will soon be possible to contact the virtual assistant of Microsoft. To continue to do so, it will go through an iOS smartphone, Android or Windows and download the application Cortana.
