Microsoft has opened its first ever European store in London

The brand at the window has clearly chosen to create a fun place, dotted with many entertainment points on more than 2,000 square meters of surface.

Microsoft seems to have repaired what could be considered, until Thursday, July 11, 2019, as an anomaly. The Redmond firm has just celebrated the opening, on Oxford Street in London, of its very first European shop, located a minute walk and a hundred meters from the Apple Store Regent Street, opened for about fifteen years.

A huge Store spread over three levels

The first days of life of the Microsoft Store in London promise to be eventful, with visitors expected to be present en masse to discover the products and activities offered by the American company, in its shop of 2,000 m², as big as ten tennis.

On three levels, users and curious are welcomed on the ground floor and face a large videowall lined with Surface shelves. To their right is nothing more than a McLaren on their way, in which it is possible to immerse themselves in a very immersive Forza Motorsport 7 race. On their left, it's the HoloLens, Microsoft's augmented reality headset, which visitors can discover and try.

Microsoft wants to push its visitors to interact with its products

Let's continue the visit ... Once you have visited the ground floor, you have the choice between taking the elevator or climbing the steps of a spiral staircase to reach the first floor, which acts as a gaming room where you can discover several games and Xbox consoles. Because Microsoft wanted to create an entertaining place, you will probably not miss, if you visit, to sit on one of the Gaming Lounge's game chairs. Laptops and accessories are also available on this floor.

The second or third floor is more for professionals. It has been thought to be "a place of support, training and digital transformation development", tells us Microsoft. The pros will be able to discover and learn the products of the Office suite. The floor also houses meeting rooms.

The London store must initially employ 150 people. Great Britain is a market of choice for Microsoft, which already has some 5,000 employees. The American company already had stores in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Puerto Rico. No new openings in Europe are planned for the moment.
