While sales figures remain very modest, the increase in the number of electric vehicle registrations in the first six months of 2019 is very optimistic: + 46% compared to last year.
Little by little, the bird makes its nest. While manufacturers are investing heavily in electric cars, consumers are becoming more and more attracted to zero emission vehicles. In any case, this is demonstrated by the figures of Avere-France, an association for the development of electric mobility, relayed by Les Echos. Thus, the first six months of the year 2019 have seen the start of sales of electrified four-wheelers by 46%.
A bigger offer
These are more precisely 21 007 models that seduced the French, even 28 911 taking into account the rechargeable hybrids. What remains, in fact, still little compared to the 1.17 million new registrations observed over the period. In percentage terms, this represents 1.8% of the market or 2.5% with hybrids. Several reasons explain this leap
For Cécile Goubet, General Delegate of Avere-France, " one of the main obstacles ", namely " the scarcity of available models, is disappearing ". Indeed, there is no longer any real introduction of new electrical products in recent months: from the Peugeot e-208 to the ZOE 2019 via the Honda e, the Opel Corsa-e, the Peugeot e-2008 or the sporty Audi e-Tron.
