The brand recently discovered through Jonathan Leitschuh that the videoconferencing software contained a security vulnerability that could affect millions of Mac users.
This flaw could be used by a hacker to access Mac's webcam without informing and questioning its owner.
The flaw allowed to connect without any authorization
Zoom is a videoconferencing application available, especially on macOS. After Apple discovered this week a security flaw, it has deployed, discreetly or almost, an update to remove the local server installed by the application.
This is the local server that allowed an attacker to connect to the webcam of the owner of the mac.
Apple said that this update is silent and therefore does not require action on the part of the user. Moreover, for those who have already deleted the application of their computers, this new update protects them too.
