Elon Musk spoke about the viability of electric aircraft, which could have the real potential within five years.

The point of improvement, according to Tesla's CEO, is the energy density of the batteries. It must, therefore, reach 400 Wh / kg for electric aircraft batteries to be more viable than kerosene. 

To date, battery cells can reach a maximum of 300 Wh / kg of energy density. It now remains five years to reach the 100 wh / kg missing from the goal.
