Daymak Beast 2.0: an eccentric electric bike for the time being in Canada

Daymak Beast 2.0

It's time to unleash a big "  vroum vroum  " without moderation in the streets of Toronto ... If you're interested in a huge fancy electric bike.

Daymak, a Canadian scooter and electric bike manufacturer, has unveiled its Beast 2.0, a monster with huge wheels and tiny pedals, a bit ridiculous.

A bike without any moderation

Beast 2.0 seems to have a "bike" only the official denomination. The vehicle's pedals are located far behind the seat and seem tiny in front of the giant 21 x 7 x 10-inch tires - a format normally intended for quads. They are nevertheless functional and allow the Beast 2.0, also equipped with acceleration handles, to obtain the qualification of an electric bike. Yes.

Moreover, the Beast 2.0 outperforms other e-bikes in terms of power. With its 500-watt electric motor (the limit in Canada) and a battery 60 x 25 ah LTO for the Deluxe version, the Beast 2.0 would, according to the brand, be able to recharge in just twenty minutes and reach the 50 kilometers of displacement by reloading. On this model, however, it is possible to make only 1,000 recharges before changing the battery.

The previous model, put on the market five years ago, was equipped with solar panels. This is obviously not the case for this new monster.

A mobile application to change mode

From a speed point of view, it is limited to 32 kilometers per hour in road mode but can go up to 45 kilometers per hour in off-road mode. The adjustment can be made through a smartphone app, connected in Bluetooth to the device. Performance settings can also be changed using this app.

For the moment, Beast 2.0 will only be available in Canada from the US $ 2,280. The Deluxe version with an LTO battery has not yet announced a price.
