This system, very disparaged by the players but paradoxically widely adopted, is also present in Rocket League. But here it is: Psyonix and Epic Games have decided to end this practice. As a reminder, the second city bought the first in May.
Rocket League takes example on Fortnite
It was last May that Epic Games bought Psyonix, developer of Rocket League. Acquisition of the studio behind Fortnite which, in its PvE mode " Save the world ", proposes to have a look at the contents of boxes obtained before purchase. And it is this form that will adopt Rocket League with his, abandoning this notion of random - and therefore gambling - often criticized by the players and in the sights of several government institutions.
The two companies unveiled, through a press release, the abandonment of loot boxes for Rocket League. It is at the end of the year 2019 that this novelty will be put in place.
Until now, the players of the title would recover crates randomly before paying to open them. The contents of the latter remained secret until payment. Occasional events also made it possible to obtain these famous "keys".
