Parallel to its Galaxy Book Ion, ( Intel Comet Lake sub processors ), Samsung is splitting in late October a new convertible laptop: the Galaxy Book Flex. The latter also has a QLED panel (technology pampered by the Korean giant on monitors and TVs), but for it's part on chips Intel Ice Lake 10 nm.
Convertible Lenovo, ACER or Dell just have to stand, the Galaxy Book Flex, will not come on the market to make the figuration. The device, which should be found in Europe in early 2020 at a rate still unknown, comes with a tempting technical sheet. It will be available in 13 and 15-inch versions.

Aluminum chassis, "Royal Blue" coating and wireless charging
From an outside point of view, the Galaxy Book Flex sports an elegant "Royal Blue" aluminum dress, a hinge system allowing the screen to tilt 360 degrees around the keyboard, a fingerprint sensor, a game signed AKG speakers (an indirect subsidiary of Samsung), a 720p webcam and a 13.3 or 15.6-inch touch-sensitive QLED 1080p panel. The latter has a maximum luminance of 600 nits for a color coverage greater than the sRGB spectrum, says Samsung. Side weight, the device is not particularly light, with 1.15 pounds on the scale for the model 13 inches and 1.52 pounds for the grind 15 inches. Nothing unacceptable, however.
Still uncommon on laptops, the Galaxy Book Flex finally supports wireless charging Qi, via PowerShare technology from Samsung. Compatible devices (including smart phones) will be able to recharge their battery simply by being placed on the terminal.

A powerful machine, powered by the latest Intel chips
Inside this aluminum chassis, Samsung has chosen to insert Intel Ice Lake 10 nm processors, introduced on the market this summer. If we still do not know what models will be proposed, Intel's new low-power chips will be backed by a maximum of 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The 15-inch variant of the Galaxy Book Flex is also equipped with an optional GPU: the small GeForce MX 250 2GB from NVIDIA.![]() |
