Automated massage chairs, virtual reality environments, a light breeze ... Relaxation 2.0 is coming to Los Angeles where the Escapes Immersive Relaxation Center is about to open.
Residents of the City of Angels will soon have the opportunity to dabble at the other end of the world while staying in their city: a massage room with virtual reality opens this Friday, July 5 in Los Angeles.
When massage rhymes with travel
The Escapes Immersive Relaxation Center, the first of its kind, will offer ten different virtual environments for relaxation, with sauna, koi pond, and ski cabin equipped with a fireplace. The center in question will also emit scents related to each environment with a cool breeze.
The massage in question is not virtual, but it does not mean that it will come from a human! These are automated massage chairs that await visitors to this unusual center, which states that its armchairs will in no way be comparable to those you usually try at the mall.
Equipped with a virtual reality helmet Angelinos will be able to escape to the Caribbean or the place of their choice and relax for a moment.
An expected opening
Quite appropriately, Escapes is based in the building of SAG-Aftra, Screen Actors Guild HQ - a syndicate representing actors from all over the world - whose members know something about far-off environments and other fake realities.
