Huawei would consider laying off several hundred of its employees practicing in the United States

Touched by US sanctions, the Chinese giant would like to tap into the workforce of its subsidiary overseas research and development, Futurewei Technologies.

At the heart of the Sino-US trade war, Huawei, which is even the main symbol, suffers from many obstacles that prevent it from further developing its activities. And even if the United States allows its companies to talk again with the Shenzhen firm to sell their technology, the Chinese manufacturer remains on the US blacklist. It is a bit forced and constrained that the company founded by Ren Zhengfei could carve out its workforce in the USA.

Hundreds of US jobs threatened

According to Wall Street Journal reports, Huawei would like to fire a large part of the 850 employees from Futurewei Technologies, its US subsidiary. Several hundred collaborators based in Texas, Washington, and California would be concerned by this plan.

To avoid sudden layoffs, the firm would have offered some of its Chinese employees, who work on one of the potentially affected US sites, to find a position in the Middle Kingdom.

Huawei, looking for the ideal pressure medium

If Huawei's so-called will became a reality, it would prove that Chinese society does not intend to remain "hostage" to the US government and that it wants to use pressure tactics that may be lowered that which weighs on her. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has, for his part, made industrial jobs his priority. The fight is already underway.

For now, Huawei no longer has the right to offer its products on US soil, and most importantly, its equipment. It is, for example, impossible for him to sell his 5G technology to the various telecommunications operators in the country.
