A utility moped and any electric terrain unveiled by the New Zealand UBCO

UBCO, a manufacturer from New Zealand mainly known for its 2x2 electric moped, has just unveiled its new line-up for 2020.
Two models stand out: the new improved version of the 2x2, an all-terrain electric moped, and the manufacturer's first electric trial bike. the UBCO FRX1.

The UBCO 2x2, 2020 edition

Here comes the time of the fifth generation 2x2 for the New Zealand manufacturer. This version named UBCO 2x2ADV will be equipped with two drive wheels and two total suspensions front and rear. The ultimate moped "for adventure", according to the company.

The all-terrain moped, which can reach 50 km per hour with a removable battery of 2.4 kWh, will be able to achieve a distance of 120 km before reloading. It can legally be driven on European, American and Australian roads as well as in nature.

An electric trial bike
The UBCO FRX1 Freeride Trail Bike is the first electric trial bike of the New Zealand group.


Intended for use on track and equipped with pedals, the bike looks like a mountain bike. It will be equipped with an electric motor of 15 kW and will be able to reach 80 km per hour. Battery side, it loads a 2.2 kWh removable block for a range of up to 100 kilometers.

The marketing of both models is expected to begin in the coming months, no price has been announced. The previous 2x2 model was worth $ 8,000.
